In order to spiral & drive the cable into the drain Elbow Pass Model 2, requires hand guiding and feeding the cable into the pipe or drain. Spinning the auger will not drive the cable into the drain or pipe, it requires a technique from the operator: Cable placed into pipe till it stops, “AUGER POSITIONED 6 INCHES AWAY FROM DRAIN OR PIPE, LOCK THE CLUTCH, SPIN THE AUGER 5-7 TIMES CLOCKWISE and AT THE SAME TIME MOVE THE AUGER FOWARD TOWARD THE DRAIN OR PIPE”, which will allow the cable to spiral into and move down the pipe or drain.
